Today is day 2 of my online store being open. Getting a few visitors.
This has always been a dream of mine - to have a craft store. Life kept pushing it to the back burner. I felt I wasn’t getting any younger and if I waited for life to slow down, my age and health might not be what it is now. So I devised a plan to take a year off from teaching and give it a try. I needed money to do this, so I cashed in my retirement money and quit teaching. It was o e of the scariest things I have done!
I knew that it would be too expensive to have a brick and mortar store, so I opted for an online store. I’ve used a portion of my savings to buy inventory to get my store started. Meanwhile I’ve been ramping up my Creative Memories business, selling on EBay, and babysitting to make ends meet.
The next step is to get grants and loans to expand my business to add more variety of products. I also will be teaching on YouTube to promote my store. Teaching will always be in my blood.
Stay tuned and follow my endeavor in this new chapter in my life.
